Utah Has Decided to “Opt-In” to FirstNet – 31st State

On Tuesday, November 6th, Governor Herbert announced that Utah has now opted in to using FirstNet for its Public Safety First Responders, making it the 31st state and territory to opt into this network.

The California First Responder Network Board of Directors (CalFRN) was established in 2012 to deal with the decision process. CalFRN Board of Directors is working with the FirstNet Board to ensure the development of a successful program.
